• Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

• In the Ancient Egyptian Ebers Papyrus, there was indication that the ancients were applying Energy Healing. These could be seen as hieroglyphs on the temples’ walls where the Pharaohs resided dating back to 2000 BC. Which were depicted to look very much like Healing Sessions and Attunements due to the symbols and placements.
• Sekhem, was recorded as a powerhouse energy system which the word itself can be interpreted much like the term Reiki as “The Universal Life Energy” or “Power”.
• Sekhmet, The Lion-Headed Goddess of Healing & Protection in the High Temples was associated with the Sekhem Energy. This goddess was dedicated to the training and attuning of the Ancient World physicians, priests and healers. 
• Sekhmet is called in to the session to guide and to help in taking away things that no longer serve us like repressed anger or negativity, and helping us to transform into our better selves.
• Sekhem is wonderful for focusing on deep-rooted trauma and spiritual development as it is a stronger force of energy that can go deeper within us.

How Does Reiki Feel?

• Reiki is gentle, noninvasive, painless and can do no harm. 
• Before the Session, the client sets an intention to be open to receive whatever is needed at this moment for their highest and greatest good. 
• Usually, there is a deep feeling of relaxation and some may even go to sleep. There might be no sensation felt at all. Or the shifting energy may be experienced as an emotional detox with signs of letting go such as yawning, burping or movements in the body.
• Whatever you do experience or do not experience is okay, Reiki flows to where it is needed and does its work regardless.
